In the early hours of today, rumour of a school bus, conveying pupils to a school in Nyanya, hijacked by gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sect has triggered a massive chaos.

Parents had invaded schools in Nyanya to evacuate their children around Nyanya and Maraba as the rumour gained ground of the abduction.
Currently, schools around the area are reportedly being shut.
Though authorities had yet to comfirm the report, a contingent of soldiers, anti-terrorism policemen, security operatives and bomb disposal squad have moved in to beef up security in the area.
