The founder of Facebook, the world-famous internet social networking
site, Mark Zuckerberg, is set to visit Nigeria next month where he will
be a guest speaker at a youth empowerment site in Akwa Ibom put together
by the Niger Delta Young Professionals group.
This was made known by the Chairman of the Niger Delta Young
Professionals, Mr Moses Siasia, when he paid a visit to the Akwa Ibom
State Governor, Godswill Akpabio in Uyo.
Siasia, who is currently attending a two-day retreat in the state,
used the occasion to invite Akpabio as a special guest of honour to the
summit billed for Uyo, the state capital, between May 28 and 29.
He said the summit will bring together young professionals in the
Niger Delta to promote entrepreneurship with emphasis looking at
economic challenges in the states and creating employment for the
youths.
The chairman explained that the Niger Delta Young Professionals is
made up of young professionals from different backgrounds, tribes and
states coming together to tackle the challenges and bring about the
desired change in the Niger Delta states.
Siasa further commended Akpabio for transforming the state through
infrastructure: good road network, health and education sector.
The 28-year old Mark Zuckerberg is one of the world’s most
recognizable business personalities since founding Facebook from his
Harvard University in dorm room at the age of 20 and growing it to a
dominant global technology company worth several billions, making him a
multi-billionaire in the process too.
